We work with parents/carers, schools, groups, and other professionals to provide bespoke educational services to children and young people.

Our flexible approach to education allows us to provide individualised services to parent, schools, and other professionals across the North East. 

Our services focus primarily on provision of capable and experienced tutors and specialised SEN and education staff who are able to meet the individual learning needs of children.

Trauma-Informed Delivery

We are committed to delivering our services through a trauma-informed lens.

We promote this way of teaching across our educational settings and we ensure that all staff are trained in trauma-informed strategies and have an understanding of the theory behind challenging behaviour, including Adverse Childhood Experiences.

Adverse Childhood Experiences are events experienced by individuals during childhood which may have a long-lasting negative impact on children and Young People. This could include mental illness, physical and emotional neglect and/or abuse, or exposure to issues such as domestic violence or substance abuse within their home.

Our trauma-informed delivery ensures an understanding of the impact of trauma on children and Young People, and an emphasis on creating a safe physical, emotional, and physiological space for everyone.

Our whole ethos is built on building connection before correction, and we understand the importance that building positive relationships with children and Young People has on reducing the impact of such events.

We use a trauma-informed approach to:

• Develop positive relationships
• Break down barriers to learning
• Improve access to education
• Reduce incidents of challenging behaviour

Through our Educational Support Service, we can support schools to educate through a trauma-informed lens.
